Sean Michael Boozer is an actor, writer, director, improviser and reluctant producer born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. After graduating from Northern Arizona University with a degree in English Lit and Minor in Theatre, Sean Michael considered going to law school until he worked for an attorney. This experience promptly sent him into Stand-Up then Improv and eventually LA. Since moving to LA, Sean Michael has had long running MainStage shows at The Second City and iOWest in Greene Boozer Elixir and stage has provided Fringe Show and Improv Actor honors. Film and TV credits include Hulu's "The Dropout", Netflix's "The Politician", Shondaland's "Station 19", TV Land's "Teachers", Dr Dre's pilot, "Vital Signs" for AppleTV and Series Regular in the "Off The Grid" pilot, other network appearances include "Jimmy Kimmel Live", "The Shield", "General Hospital" and "LA Dragnet".
A Graduate of The Second City's Directing Program, SM has been head writer and/or directed live sketch shows at The Second City, iOWest, The Pack, and The Ruskin Theatre. SM Wrote and Directed Video Sketches for for The Second City's YouTube Channel, Hey Neighbor, Greene Boozer Elixir, Color Collective, We Make Movies, and has been a Contributing Writer for Your Late Show Tonight and The Night Cap. SM Co-Created, Wrote and Produced the sizzle for the series "Squatters". SM has Taught Improv for the professional actor at The SAG Conservatory, The Actors Network and ITA, Coached all over LA for various Indie groups including Hey Neighbor, Frog Island, People's Republic of Improv, Nation of Improv, and The Outfit.
“In between gigs", Sean Michael taught high school and is still a big advocate of children and arts education, mentoring with Young Storytellers, which provides underserved public school students the opportunity to write stories and see them brought to life through performance. Sean Michael is currently a Teaching Artist at The Geffen Playhouse, teaches Improv at The Pack, is a Company of Angels member where he Directs Sketch and Improv, and, though unsure on how he came to be so lucky, is happy to be a series regular of Super Legit Podcast.
